Book Review for: Restore Me by Tahereh Mafi

By SAMAMA, Oct 27 2019 03:51PM

Restore Me for me was… Okayish. The book was interesting as always, and Warner and Kenji had a complete grip on my heart the whole time but, it was nowhere as good as its first book, Shatter Me.

🚨 Spoilers Ahead 🚨

⚠️ Look Away ⚠️

So many secrets, so many mouths shut. Why? Why didn’t they just cut the chase and simply talked? Why didn’t the characters just take a time out, arranged a round table, and TALKED? Or do round tables no longer exist in their dystopian universe? Sorry if I sound mean, but I really got frustrated by all the unspoken issues that weren’t being explained to one another between the characters of the book.

I loved Kenji throughout the story. He was kind and caring. He was in short; the type of friend I always dreamed of having.

I’ve always loved Warner, and I still do, but he really needs help, which he isn’t getting, and it sucks. I wish Warner and Juliette had spoken more thoroughly when they had the time, and had worked harder to know each other better rather than just doing the… other stuffs.

Castle was honestly being treated terribly throughout the book and I hated it. Juliette was being dumb, but I don’t blame her, it had only been a few days that she had come out into the real world. The new characters were interesting, in fact I liked Nazeera a lot.

What I loved the most in this book was the final cliffhanger.

P.S. If something happens to my sweethearts Warner and Kenji in the next book, I don’t know WHAT I’ll do.

I’m giving Restore Me 2.5 out of 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐
